Carrie (from Calliope Musicals) @ Continental Club

I stumbled upon one of Carrie’s residency shows at Continental Club in February and was blown away by her performance. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.. theatrical, comedic, fantastical, and extreme talent. If you ever get a chance to see her show I highly recommend it.

Jose Gonzalez with Jess Williamson @ The Long Center

This was a beautiful night of music at The Long Center. It was my first time shooting inside this space and the crowd was completely enamored with Jess and Jose. The silence during their songs let the music fill the theatre, even with acoustic performances.

Sarah Jarosz @ The 04 Center

I’m usually familiar with the artist I’m shooting, but this show was a last-minute job and I decided to go in without looking her up. What I learned throughout the evening is just how impressive Sarah and her band are, plus, she grew up around Austin with some friends of mine. This was the first of two nights at the 04 Center and the room was packed to the brim with fans eager for her hometown show on tour. Thanks to the venue for having me.

Sir Woman @ Old Settler's Music Festival

Although this was my first time at this festival, we sure had a quick itinerary- we showed up, played the set, and immediately turned back around to Austin for a rehearsal for another festival the next day. We still had a blast and the crowd was energized in the pre-summer sun. I don’t often get to shoot music in the daytime, especially outdoors, so it was fun to capture more unique images than I usually get with this band.

Ambitions of Ambiguity Album Release Show - Buffalo Hunt

Buffalo Hunt’s album release show at the new Parish was so incredibly special. A true whirlwind of music, friends, and family all combining for the perfect party. This was the first time the music was played with a full band and it elevated the set considerably. Carrie (from Calliope Musicals) and The Texas Gentlemen joined the bill for a stacked lineup.

Between the show, photo booth, and new Parish venue, I couldn’t have had a better night.
